The Social Network Review
The Social Network is speaking of the founding of Facebook. Facebook is one of the most popular visited sites ever. It tells the story the founder, Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg), and the troubles he went through to keep it running. It is a highly controversial movie since it depicts the founder, worth over $1 billion, as a very egocentric and awkward person. I at first thought this movie was a documentary, but when I saw Aaron Sorkin (A Few Good Men, Charlie Wilson’s War) writing the screenplay and of all people David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, Benjamin Button) directing I was stunned. It took me awhile to get around to see it since I wasn’t all that interested. When I ended up seeing it, I thought the directing and the acting of Justin Timberlake as the Napster-creating Sean Parker was amazing. Jesse Eisenberg also did a great job, and altogether the movie was very interesting. I thought it was very fun to watch and give it 3/5 stars.
